Volunteer/ Internship Opportunity

The mission of the Sherwood Chamber of Commerce is to give value to our members and the community through innovation and bold leadership and programs that develop the business climate.

The Sherwood Area Chamber of Commerce and Visitor’s Center is seeking Volunteers and Interns to assist in the daily functions of the Non Profit 501 (c) (6) Organization. Those interested in applying for opportunities within the Chamber are encouraged to fill out a Volunteer Form and submit it with a current resume to the Chamber office. Volunteer responsibilities can include:

Organizing, marketing, and producing local area special events including Crusin’ Sherwood the area’s largest annual classic car show, The Great Onion Festival, and Run for the Roses.

Updating the Sherwood Chamber of Commerce web page and additional social mediums such as LinkedIn.com and Facebook websites.

Attend meetings and mixers put on, sponsored by, or pertaining to the mission of the organization.

Meeting local business leaders and promoting the value of a Chamber membership.

Publishing weekly newsletters and submitting publicity to local area media groups.

Assisting with the day to day clerical duties of the Sherwood Area Chamber of Commerce and Visitor’s Center.

Whether applicants are seeking to gain community service experience or get more involved, the Sherwood Area Chamber of Commerce and Visitor’s Center is a great venue to gain work related skills and network with the local community.
